Job Description

Crum & Forster is seeking an Operations Specialist to work in its Property Division. In this position, you will support the day to day operations of the division and collaborate with various business groups and stakeholders throughout the organization, including underwriting and claims. We are seeking a candidate in the Morristown, NJ area with the ability to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.

 

What you will do:

  • Book premium transactions at the direction of the underwriting team promptly and accurately. 
  • Set up and adjust loss amounts as directed by the claims team.
  • Prepare policy drafts at the request of the underwriting team.
  • Update and manage digital files according to standards.
  • Generate and mail legal notices upon request.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports
  • Prepare and submit departmental expense payments upon request
  • Complete projects as assigned

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software applications
  • Detail oriented
  • Not afraid to ask questions
  • Ability to follow protocol with an emphasis on quality and customer service
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills in person and over the phone

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $38,000.00 to a maximum of $63,400.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
