Job Description

Seneca’s Inland Marine Dept. is looking for Policy Processor for the Chicago, IL office. The incumbent would be responsible for policy processing in WINS, generating electronic paper copies of policies, requesting agency codes, and state filings.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in underwriting support. 

 

This position can be performed in any of the Seneca office locations - Chicago, Richmond, Morristown, New York, Cherry Hill, or Centennial.

 

What you will do for C&F:

 

  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Detail Oriented
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, ImageRight, PDF
  • Experience processing policies, endorsements, etc in WINS
  • Calculate RP/AP endorsements based on account rate/underwriting instructions (AP=Additional Premium/RP=Return Premium)
  • Determine pro-rata/short rate factors (method of calculating premiums on a short term basis rather than Annual)
  • Calculate State taxes and fees when deemed necessary (admitted business)
  • Enter Policies and Endorsements in WINS
  • Including placing the correct forms and endorsements on the policy
  • Enter Reinsurance in WINS
  • Create the electronic copies of Policies and Endorsements
  • Work with the assigned Underwriter on Policy and Endorsement Issuance
  • Work with Accounting when cancellations need to be issued.
  • Follow up with Facultative Markets for certs/endorsements
  • Enter state filing information for Motor Carrier accounts
  • Working with Marketing to issue new Agency Codes
  • Issue loss runs when requested by Brokers

 

What you will bring to C&F:

 

  • WINS insurance administration experience required.
  • 1-2 years of insurance company operations experience.
  • Strong Communications and Organizational skills, being able to multi-task.
  • Proficient in various Microsoft software applications, such as Excel and Word.
  • Will be able to abide by departmental policies and procedures including guidelines placed by the Inland Marine Management Team.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of 441,900.00 to a maximum of $61,400.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs
