Marketing, Communications Specialist

 

This is a hybrid position based in our New York City office.

 

What you will do for C&F:

 

  • Provide strategic communications counsel to support Seneca Business Divisions and corporate functions.
  • Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies that align with Corporate Function and/or Division goals and objectives, ensuring consistent and effective messaging.
  • Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies specifically for the Marketing and Corporate Communications
  • Manage writing and/or editing for the Corporate Functions and business divisions
  • Partner with Social and Website Leads to ensure alignment of C&F’s cultural messaging on social media and web channels
  • Experience Developing Proven B2B Digital Marketing Campaigns, Websites and/or Content Strategies for Existing or Emerging Digital Channels (I.E. Social, Web or App). Experience with all three preferred.
  • Experience leveraging social media in a corporate, marketing or brand-building capacity.
  • Proficient in understanding of digital channels and tools and uses a solid understanding of marketing strategy to execute work.

What you will bring to C&F:

 

  • 3-5 years of e-communications, public relations and/or marketing experience in a corporate setting, working with C-Suite executives
  • Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications, PR, Journalism, Business or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with solid knowledge of AP style
  • Experience in serving as an internal communications business partner
  • Consultant mindset that focuses on listening, asking probing questions and offering creative solutions that meet our business partners’ objectives in the most effective way.
  • Knowledge of traditional communications platforms and emerging trends, ability to use metrics to continuously improve engagement
  • Ability to take initiative, conscientiously following through on areas of responsibility, and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fluid environment, often working under pressure and juggling multiple deadlines
  • Understanding of corporate culture and ability to work well across organizational lines in a highly decentralized structure
  • Ability to work independently and on teams
  • Demonstrate strong mentoring, influencing, relationship building, planning and organizational skills.

Crum & Forster is committed to ensuring a workplace free from discriminatory pay disparities and complying with applicable pay equity laws.  Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $68,200.00 to a maximum of $107,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
