Job Description

This is an entry to mid-level position designed to allow the appropriate candidate to grow and develop skills and expertise and transition to more complex responsibilities. Works under general supervision and reports to a supervisor. Achieve superior customer service and Notice of Loss Intake skills at the most reasonable cost/efficiency by completing essential tasks including collecting required claim data and entering into correct system/form based on type of claim being reported and interacting with appropriate colleagues as it relates to claim type.

 

What you will do:

  • Provide Daily phone coverage for the Notice of Loss 800 number while adhering to scripts and best practices related to all customer interactions.
  • Assist customers by setting up claim first notices.
  • Keep accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints and comments as well as actions taken.
  • Provide accurate and timely answers to routine claim inquiries and update claims in the appropriate claim system while following standard call flows.
  • Serve as a customer advocate in all interactions to provide an outstanding customer experience.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to fulfill job and unit needs.
  • Embrace and practice Pete’s Principles.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
  • One to two years of prior customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with claims, imaging and workflow systems is a plus.
  • High School Degree or GED required.

Crum & Forster is committed to ensuring a workplace free from discriminatory pay disparities and complying with applicable pay equity laws.  Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $25,700 to a maximum of $48,200. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
