The Alternative Risk team, a unit within the Specialty Business Unit (SBU) within Accident & Health (A&H), specializes in underwriting customized Surplus Lines General Liability, Contract Liability, Auto Liability, and other unique insurance products across both A&H and Property and Casualty (P&C) lines. This team is distinguished by its focus on complex risk financing structures, offering innovative solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
The Associate Underwriter role will aid the underwriters with the responsibilities of supporting the underwriting process and affiliated administrative tasks. The Associate Underwriter is responsible for supporting a group of senior level underwriters and is ideally suited to grow in responsibility and progress into managing more complex aspects of the underwriting process. Ideal location would be Glastonbury CT hybrid.

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $53,400 to a maximum of $74,000. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
