Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team:

The Premium Operations Associate is responsible for managing outgoing premium activities including refunds, commissions, and claims payments. This role maintains essential registers, supports onboarding of producers and brokers, performs compliance tasks such as OFAC checks, and responds to internal and external inquiries regarding outgoing premium activity. The Associate plays a handson role in ensuring accurate and timely execution of payments, supporting reconciliation processes, and contributing to operational efficiency and compliance across the business unit. 

 

What you will do:

  • Prepare all deposited checks for entry into the accounting system
  • Process premium refunds, claims refund deposits, and commission refunds/payments
  • Run and maintain monthly claims and commission registers
  • Process claims and commission checks/ACHs and ensure accurate tracking of outstanding items
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding commissions, claims, and other outgoing premium items
  • Support new business onboarding for producers/brokers, including OFAC reporting
  • Maintain premium journal notes and client contact cheat sheets
  • Assist with reconciliation research as needed
  • Support the Lead with workflow execution during peak periods or complex cases
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What YOU will bring to C&F:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred; 
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in premium accounting or related finance role
  • Proficiency in MS Office and premium accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, particularly in resolving discrepancies
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills for partner interactions and crossfunctional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining accuracy
  • A proactive, businessfocused mindset and commitment to service excellence
  • High ethical standards and professional conduct

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $38,300.00 to a maximum of $56,200.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
